Children are at a greater risk of cell phone radiation because their skulls are thinner
Children are at a greater risk of cell phone radiation because their skulls are thinner

Palo Alto, CA (PRWEB) December 04, 2013 -- Dr. Lennart Hardell and his colleagues have just published the third in a series of papers on the use of wireless phones and the risk of malignant and non-malignant brain tumors. The research findings are frightening to say the least when you consider children commonly use smartphones at a very young age today.

RF Safe’s Founder says that by just using an Air-tube headset you can nearly eliminate radiation exposure to the brain and the risk of brain cancer

The latest paper describes a new case-control study that examines brain tumor cases diagnosed between 2007 and 2009 and the association between cell phone use and brain cancer risk. The study updates earlier research from case-control studies conducted by the Hardell group and extends the prior research by examining brain tumor risk for people who have used wireless phones for up to 25 years.

The official technical abstract of this study can be found here http://www.spandidos-publications.com/10.3892/ijo.2013.2111.

The research found those who used wireless phones for more than 25 years were at greatest risk—300% greater risk of brain cancer than those who used wireless phones for a year or less. This research proves the health effects of cell phone radiation are cumulative with more hours of use, and why it’s so important to make sure your children use cell phones safely by limiting their exposure to cell phone radiation.

The total number of hours of wireless phone use was as important as the number of years of use. A fourth of the sample used wireless phones for 2,376 or more hours in their lifetime which corresponds to about 40 minutes a day over ten years. These heavier users had 250% greater risk of brain tumors as compared to those who never used wireless phones or used them for less than 39 hours in their lifetime.

A similar analysis was reported in the 13-nation Interphone study funded partly by the World Health Organization found a 180% greater risk of brain cancer among those who used cell phones for 1,640 or more hours in their lifetime. It’s important to note that in May 2011 the World Health Organization classified cell phone radiation as a class "2b": possible carcinogen, putting excessive cell phone use in the same category as lead and chloroform.

In the current study, for all types of wireless phone use, brain cancer risk was found to be greater in the part of the brain where the exposure to wireless phone radiation was highest—in the temporal or overlapping lobes of the brain on the side of the head were people predominantly used their phones.

Given the consistent results from multiple case-control studies that long-term use of mobile phones (i.e., ten or more years) is associated with brain cancer especially near where the phone is predominantly used, the International Agency for Research on Cancer should strengthen its 2011 assessment of radiofrequency energy from “possibly carcinogenic” to “probably carcinogenic” to humans.

More importantly, governments around the world should heed the results of these studies. The public must be educated about the need to take simple precautions whenever using wireless devices. Governments must strengthen regulatory standards for cell phone radiation exposure and must fund research independent of industry to develop safer technologies.

RF SAFE http://www.rfsafe.com is a global provider of cell phone radiation protection accessories and informational data. For more than a decade, RF SAFE has been dedicated to evolving the wireless industries safety standards. It engages in the business of design, testing, manufacturing and sale of safety technologies to mitigate harmful effects of cell phone radiation.

“Avoiding excessive cell phone radiation exposure by taking the approach of prudent avoidance is very easy to do,” says John Coates, RF Safe’s Founder – who claims research proves RF radiation exposure took the life of his daughter Angel Leigh Coates in 1995. He pleads with parents to ensure their children are taught the safest habits for using a cell phone safely.

John Coates may someday be known as the person that eventually made cell phones safe. His cell phone antenna first designed in 1998 (see video) reduces a cell phone users radiation exposure to almost nothing when compared to current antenna technology. New embedded antenna prototypes of his interferometric array antenna design have been manufactured by business associates in Silicon Valley, with incredible results. Learn more about RF safe antenna’s at http://www.vortistechnology.com.

When asked what one should do to protect themselves and loved-ones from cell phone radiation. John said, “While safer smartphone antennas are in the near future, today you will need to rely on easy to use RF Safe accessories to avoid as much RF radiation exposure as possible, at least until phone manufactures implement RF safe Vortis antennas inside smartphones”

The top accessory on this list is an RF Safe Air-Tube Headset, a very nifty accessory that keeps distance between you and the cell phone’s microwave radiation by using a thin air-tube to deliver sound instead of wires which can transmit radiation directly into a users head. RF Safe’s Founder says that by just using an Air-tube headset you can nearly eliminate radiation exposure to the brain and the risk of brain cancer.

However, just using an Air-tube headset isn’t enough, where the cell phone is held on your body is also issue which is addressed with RF Safe’s 3 piece Safe Cell Phone Accessory Package. More Information about these important safety accessories can be found on RF Safe’s website. rfsafe.com
