Krasno, Krasno & Onwudinjo Supports Area Nonprofit Organizations' Holiday Programs
Philadelphia, Pa. (PRWEB) December 06, 2013 -- Krasno, Krasno & Onwudinjo continues a long-held holiday tradition this year by supporting area nonprofit organizations who embody the spirit of giving, each in their own way. The St. Pauline Center in Kulpmont will host a Hansel and Gretel Christmas Show on December 8th to benefit children with diabetes. Schuylkill Community Action’s (SCA) Bridge Housing Program helps economically disadvantaged families in Schuylkill County. Wreaths Across America honors fallen military veterans with wreath laying ceremonies on December 14th.
“All year long, our firm stays involved in the charitable work of local organizations who are committed to bettering our communities,” said Jason Krasno, managing partner of the law firm that works to protect the rights of injured workers and disabled adults and children. “I’m especially proud of our employees who donate their time and resources to these causes. They make a difference in many people’s lives.”
Krasno, Krasno & Onwudinjo’s donation to the St. Pauline Center will help pay for Christmas gifts given to children with diabetes and will also support Camp Pauline – Hope for the Cure, which helps children cope with their illness while having fun in a camp setting. The center and camp were named after the first Brazilian nun to be named a saint, Saint Pauline, who suffered from diabetes and dedicated her life to healing the sick. A corporate sponsor of Wreaths Across America, KKO will donate 100 wreaths that will be placed on veterans’ graves this month. For the third year, KKO staff member Justina Majestic will be one of many volunteers to help with the wreath laying ceremony at the Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Wreaths Across America coordinates these ceremonies at veterans’ cemeteries in all 50 states and beyond as a way to remember and honor the men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedoms. For the sixth year, KKO will support SCA’s Bridge Housing Program in its efforts to provide homeless families with housing and daily living needs, as well as job counseling and education assistance. Over the holidays, KKO employees shop for items from the needy children’s wish lists, and then wrap the gifts to be given on Christmas. “We always receive sincere ‘thank you’ letters from the families at Bridge House,” said Krasno. “It is touching to read how our generosity helped make their holidays special.”
