Canadian Digital Art School - Centre for Arts and Technology To Host Holiday Pet Photo Shoot To Fundraise for Local Animal Charity
Kelowna, BC Canada (PRWEB) December 06, 2013 -- Centre for Arts and Technology is pleased to announce that on December 11th students the Events & Promotions Management, Digital Photography, and Veterinary Assistant Programs at its Kelowna Campus will once again host a pet photo shoot event to fundraise for the Okanagan Humane Society. This will be the fourth year the event has run; the event raises annually, on average, $500 dollars for local animal charities.
The event is open to the public and organizers would like to extend an invitation to the community to bring their animals to Centre for Arts and Technology to be photographed. Suggested minimum donation is $20 for one pet and $35 for two pets. Proceeds will be donated to the Okanagan Humane Society to help provide much needed treatment for the feral cat population in Kelowna. Said Okanagan Humane Society President, Louvain Schon, "The cat and kitten situation is no better than last year. Many of our members tirelessly try to foster, care for and find good homes for these animals. Our thanks to the veterinarians and their support staff. We would also like to thank all who donate to our cause. Without their help we would have no program."
While owners wait for their pets to be photographed they can enjoy refreshments from a bake sale, as well as purchase holiday themed calendars, with all proceeds going to the Okanagan Humane Society. The organizers would like to thank and acknowledge for their support of this event, the following organizations: Total Pet Kelowna and Buckerfields Kelowna.
