Eco-friendly Toy Company, Indy Plush Opens a Showroom in Marina Del Rey
Marina Del Rey, CA (PRWEB) December 05, 2013 -- Indy Plush, the America Green Certified toy and clothing organization that makes eco-friendly plush dolls in the USA has opened a new studio and show room at Fisherman’s Village in tony Marina Del Rey, California.
Following old European traditions of an “atelier,” Indy Plush has created a beautiful workshop and showroom in a group of buildings that could easily have been described in a Hans Christian Andersen story. Their show room is in a brightly painted California Golden Poppy colored wooden structure with a high-pitched wood-shingle roof that has French-style bay windows and wooden floors. All windows have water views of the beautiful Marina and spectacular sunsets. Inside, partners Plinio Garcia, Andrew Ruesch and Franceil Masi have again proven that sophisticated style can be a combination of new, used and recycled materials. Plinio and Andrew’s family physically remodeled the place. Plinio and Andrew selected and put together all the furnishings. Bob and Debbie Ruesch helped paint and hang the lamps. Sons Luke and Zachary helped carry vintage fruit crates that are Indy Plush’s signature display cases. Sister Kate helped organize the shelves and products. This truly has become a labor of love for all.
Every piece of furniture has a purpose. The fabrics, visible to visitors, are organized by colors and textures in upright wooden shelves. The tags are inside cute white recycled cardboard boxes. The snow-white benches hold inventory. There is even a miniature wooden train set and a “fake grass” rug for children to play with. It feels as if you had transported a toy shop from Amsterdam or Stockholm to Southern California. As one customer exclaimed, “this has to be the most unique toy store in the best location in the world!”
Indy Plush plans on using the location to design, ship and sell its products.
Indy Plush is planning its grand opening at 3pm on Saturday, December 14,2003, the same day as the annual boat parade and fireworks event for marina Del Rey. There will be fireworks at 5:55pm with the Christmas boat parade immediately following.
Indy Plush will be joining a collection of new “made in the USA” boutiques and showrooms at Fisherman’s Village, that include the Marina del Rey Historical Society, MoMo, and Pammy’s Place Gift store.
