Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) December 05, 2013
Beginning December 5, Penn Avenue Eyewear (PAE) will be supporting charitable organizations by allowing its customers to allocate 10% of each sale to a charity of their choice.
Rather than support only one charity, PAE will allow its customers to select an organization that is meaningful to them. A list of charitable organizations and corresponding checkout codes will be listed on the site at PennAvenueEyewear.com/Charity. Customers may browse through listed charities and select one that appeals to them. During the checkout process, when a customer enters their chosen code, Penn Avenue Eyewear will donate 10% of the total sale to the chosen charity.
PAE Creative Director Caitlin Northup comments, “As a company, we recognize an obligation to give back. However, we like the idea of allowing our customers to have a say in the charities we support. We are all in this together.” Additionally, Ms. Northup added, “This is an ongoing program that we hope will not only provide financial support for these organizations, but create awareness as well. We plan to continue to add charities that resonate with our customers.”
Current charities listed on the website include the Homeless Children’s Education Fund, Big Brothers Big Sister of Pittsburgh and St. Jude Children’s Research Center.
Ms. Northup added. “If one of our customers has a charitable organization they would like to recommend, we urge them to contact us for consideration in adding this organization to our program.”
