Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) December 07, 2013

Rosellini Scientific, LLC announced today that its core team members will attend the 2013 Lean Startup Conference upon receiving conference scholarships. The conference will be held December 9-11 in San Francisco. Lean Startup communities are rapidly spreading throughout the world, and conference organizers are strong believers in providing scholarship opportunities that enable Lean Startups to thrive in diverse communities.

This year, conference organizers awarded scholarships to companies outside of Silicon Valley that are using Lean principles in innovative ways.

Rosellini Scientific, an emerging health technology management firm, employs Lean Startup principles. While such principles have flourished in high technology applications, healthcare remains a slow, highly regulated industry. Rosellini Scientific believes that applying Lean Startup principles to the healthcare industry will enhance efficiency and establish validated learning processes that can revolutionize device development and health-technology management.

“As we implement Lean Startup within our development projects, there have been seen substantial improvements in the efficiency of our de-risking process," said Austin Duke, PhD, Director of Emerging Therapies at Rosellini Scientific. “This enables iteration to a successful business model at a faster pace.” As a first-time conference attendee, Dr. Duke is “excited about the opportunity to learn from Lean Startup pioneers and engage with peers who are just as enthusiastic as we are about revolutionizing medical technology development and management."

The Company has ongoing contracts with nearly 100 post-acute healthcare facilities and has nearly $5M in active, ongoing research projects to develop next generation devices utilizing electricity to modulate the nervous system. Projects include utilizing neurostimulation in the treatment of atrial fibrillation, headache and diabetic peripheral neuropathy, as well as an intra-ocular implant for glaucoma pressure monitoring.
