Greenberg Traurig Miami Co-Managing Shareholder Jaret L. Davis Elected Vice Chair of Miami Children’s Hospital Board of Directors
MIAMI (PRWEB) December 05, 2013 -- Jaret L. Davis, co-managing shareholder of the Miami office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, has been elected Vice Chair of Miami Children’s Hospital Board of Directors. In this role, he will assist Board Chair Alex Soto in presiding over and steering the 2014 initiatives of the Board of Directors.
“Having served as a member of the Board of Directors of Miami Children’s Hospital for more than four years, I am honored to have been elected by my fellow board members for this important position and look forward to continuing to support the hospital’s mission of ensuring children and families have access to quality care,” said Davis, who will continue to serve as Chair of the board’s audit committee. In his role as co-managing shareholder at the Greenberg Traurig Miami office, Davis oversees approximately 160 attorneys and 200 business staff members based in the firm’s founding office. A shareholder in the firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group focusing on domestic and international transactions within the mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and credit markets arenas, Davis has represented numerous companies with an industry focus on the IT and health care/biotech sectors.
In addition to his achievements in the field of law, Davis is also noted for his commitment to support a greater good. He generously donates his time to numerous nonprofit and community organizations that are making a difference locally and nationwide. His current community involvement includes: General Counsel and Founding Member of the Technology Foundation of the Americas; President, University of Miami School of Law, Law Alumni Association; Chair of Nominating and Governance Committee, City Year, Board of Directors; SEED Foundation, South Florida Division, Board of Trustees; Executive Committee of the Beacon Council; and Member, American Diabetes Association, Income Development Committee.
