Property Solutions’ New InspectionManager™ Mobilizes Automated Multi-Housing Inspections
Lehi, UT (PRWEB) December 06, 2013 -- Property Solutions®, the multifamily industry's open-access Platform as a Service (PaaS) provider, announced the launch of its new InspectionManager™, a customizable inspection system built for enhanced mobile functionality and back-office automation. First introduced at the Property Solutions Summit user conference in September, InspectionManager allows communities to automatically send online inspection forms to residents and maintenance personnel, with the ability to submit responses, notes, and photos to Property Solutions’ Entrata™ platform by smartphone, tablet, or desktop. Communities can schedule inspections according to specified system event triggers and uniquely customize inspection requirements for units and common areas.
“As far as adoption and compliance for residents and staff, mobile functionality is pivotal,” said Property Solutions CEO Dave Bateman. “The ability to walk through the inspection on a smartphone or tablet, take and add photos, and sign-off with a digital signature allows companies to capitalize on the channels their users already rely upon minute-to-minute.”
Created within the single platform of Entrata PaaS, InspectionManager supports customizable, event-based triggers to automatically generate new inspections, resident notifications, and work orders from events including move-ins, move-outs, and make readies. Because Property Solutions’ built-in property management tools interact simultaneously, InspectionManager works within the flow of the system as a whole for the greatest simplicity and efficiency.
“It gives onsite staff a straight-forward system for making sure all inspections are current and properly processed,” Bateman explained. “A new resident moves in, and he’s notified of a pending inspection through ResidentPortal and, depending on his account settings, gets an auto-generated email. That completed resident inspection is then relayed to maintenance staff through their dashboard in Entrata. They’re able to complete their inspection, have the failed items reviewed, and generate work orders through one, seamless workflow with complete oversight and selected system automations.”
Having undergone testing by three different NMHC Top 50 companies, InspectionManager has the versatility to provide inspection templates for virtually any unit, building, and amenity, customized for the specific needs of individual communities. Additionally, managers can search and display a history of prior inspections by individual unit or resident, as well as link inspections to make ready processes.
