A New Day Rehab Reaches Out to More Victims of Substance Abuse
North Palm Beach, FL (PRWEB) December 09, 2013 -- A New Day Rehab has announced their plans to get the word out to more victims of substance abuse across the USA. Beginning with a new website and company look, they are seeking to help patients that are serious about their recovery. Mike Slinskey, owner of the center stated “by creating our new modern look; we can more accurately portray our image.”
A New Day takes on a different approach to recovery from drug and alcohol addiction than the typical rehabilitation center and program which is considered by many to be totally impersonal. A New Day is a small facility and they limit the number of patients that they take on at any given time. “In addition to drug and alcohol rehab, we also address those with a dual diagnosis where an anxiety or emotional issue is a contributing factor to the addiction” said Slinskey. “It is impossible to address the root causes of addiction when these other issues are not considered. Many of the larger treatment centers focus on just the addiction and not the underlying causes” Slinskey added.
According to the Closing the Addiction Treatment Gap (CATG) initiative “Drug use is on the rise in this country and 23.5 million Americans are addicted to alcohol and drugs. That’s approximately one in every 10 Americans over the age of 12” which is a staggering number. These numbers support the need for better, more focused opportunities for addiction victims to recover. Dr. Kima Joy Taylor, director of the CATG Initiative further reported that “only 11 percent of those with an addiction receive treatment. It is staggering and unacceptable that so many Americans are living with an untreated chronic disease and cannot access treatment.”
According to Mr. Slinskey, “Drug and Alcohol addiction and emotional disorders are a fact of our time and the mission of A New Day Rehab is to help our patients get clean and sober and maintain long term sobriety.”
