Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (PRWEB) December 08, 2013 -- Good4ukid1 and Good4ukid2 are the most important new apps your children will ever play. Barry Keane, President of HURAM, is pleased to make this announcement of 2 Apps on the Apple App Store, Good4ukid1 and Good4ukid2.
Good4ukid1 and Good4ukid2 are new apps designed to start the conversation with 9 to 14 year olds and their friends about tobacco, alcohol, marijuana and prescription drugs. These apps are bridges to open the door of communication about these important and difficult subjects.
The questions explain problem solving, decision making and communication skills that match the substance abuse curricula of middle and high schools. There is a great amount of misinformation and minimizing of the potential harm of tobacco and marijuana. The apps build strong family communication. Protect your children’s friends; strengthen problem solving, decision making, resistance and resiliency skills.
The misuse of pharmacy drugs is very damaging. Children assume that their parent’s drugs purchased from a pharmacy are safer than street or illegal drugs. The prescription pain killers are very damaging to all who have misunderstood their strength. Old medications should be disposed of in a safe manner. The synthetic marijuana is marketed to look like candy.
In 2012 the Canadian Federal government passed legislation to create stiff sentences for the growing of 6 marijuana plants or more. Anyone growing 6 plants or more now receives 6 months in jail with the full term being served. More importantly, the convicted person is not allowed entry into the United States.
Good4ukid1 and Good4ukid2 are designed to create discussion about some of the most important subjects in children’s teenage years. The discussions these questions present to children offer the opportunity to road test these subjects. They offer children protection from the schoolyard by offering reasoning skills and resistance skills to teach students how to deflect peer pressure. When children say “Mom, there is nothing to do," hand them your iPhone or iPad. The questions can be answered by you.
Peer pressure is also explained so that children are given options to unfriendly choices they may be offered in the school years. These questions can be discussed with parents and children alike in the safe loving environment of their home. Good4ukid1 and Good4ukid2 can be shared with all of their children’s friends. You can insure as many 9 to 14 year olds as possible have the opportunity to play and you will have created valuable information for your children’s best friends.
Kids these days are borrowing from the parent’s medicine cabinets. The marijuana issue is full of misinformation. Marijuana is a mood altering drug and should be compared with other mood altering drugs. Alcohol should be compared with depressants.
Can the next generations be protected from marijuana and prescription drugs? Try to assist those who have not yet started. The biggest hurdles are peer pressure and misinformation. Wanting to be liked, wanting to fit in and being accepted are big issues for students. What is tacit approval and what are clear boundaries? Rationalizing that marijuana, prescriptions and alcohol are not really that harmful?
To summarize, prevention awareness can benefit millions of children around the world. Good4ukid2 can be shared by millions of children around the world to protect our future generations. We have an opportunity to educate, inform and protect millions of children. Good4ukid1 and Good4ukid2 are available on the Apple App Store on your iPhone and iPad.
These apps are also available in Spanish as Alerta1 and Alerta2.
