FactRight LLC, a leading provider of risk management and third party due diligence services to the alternative investment industry, announced today that Chari Aweidah, CPA, CFE, MBA, has been named Senior Vice President. In this new role, she will oversee all product and operational-level due diligence reporting performed by the company.
Ms. Aweidah has significant experience in financial due diligence, fraud investigation, and risk assessment on a national and international basis. In 2011, she was recruited by FactRight to serve as Vice President and financial analysis team leader. Under her leadership FactRight’s non-traded product and investment sponsor reporting saw several key improvements, specifically in regards to forensic-style accounting assessments.
“Our client roster has expanded in part due to Chari's exceptional abilities to detect anomalies in financial data,” said Scott Smith, President and CEO. “As Senior Vice President, she will continue as an individual contributor, while also taking the lead in driving our progress as the leading innovator of third party due diligence.”
Before joining FactRight, Ms. Aweidah served in various management positions in audit, private equity, corporate finance and crisis management, providing financial services focused on oversight and control of investments, including fraud investigations.
