Center for Discovery, a national leader in residential treatment for behavioral and substance abuse issues in adolescents, is pleased to announce its appearance on the Dr. Phil show, airing today, December 9, 2013. Center for Discovery is providing residential treatment services for various families who have an out of control teen. “Center for Discovery is proud to work with Dr. Phil McGraw and the Dr. Phil show," said Mark Hobbins, President and COO of Center for Discovery. “We are happy to collaborate with the Dr. Phil show and provide the best in class therapeutic services for troubled teens and their families.”
Today’s show focuses on a 16-year old young woman who was heading the wrong direction in life and causing significant family challenges. The family had serious issues including huge anger issues between parents. The young woman was using dangerous, illegal drugs, went to jail for fighting, was kicked out of school and is now in the custody of the Court. Dr. Phil felt that Center for Discovery was the best solution for the young woman and that Center for Discovery could provide her a safe, therapeutic environment in which she could deal with various psychological issues including trauma, substance abuse and self-harming behavior, as well as help her develop a healthy identity.
“The young woman and her family featured in this episode of the Dr. Phil show, as well as other Dr. Phil guests, have made significant behavioral and lifestyle changes,” said Mr. Hobbins. “Center for Discovery is dedicated to helping struggling and underachieving teens and their families progress toward a more healthy and productive life and improved family relationships.”
