Speaking ahead of the eyeforpharma Barcelona 2014 conference, Griffiths echoed similar industry commitments to making patients the center of healthcare, and stressed Janssen’s personal commitment to a more customer-focussed business model:
“At Janssen we recognise the need to improve the delivery of value to healthcare professionals, payers, patients and society as a whole – we need to deliver outcomes, not just medicines. This requires deep insights into the needs and habits of patients and carers, together with a willingness for effective collaboration.”
Jane Griffiths will demonstrate Janssen’s commitment to customer-centricity and throw down the gauntlet for other companies to follow suite at eyeforpharma Barcelona 2014 in March. The event, the largest commercial gathering of pharmaceutical companies in the world, will be attended by all of the key players including UCB, Novartis, Pfizer, Merck, Bayer and Sanofi. The goal? To determine a business model which delivers true patient value.
Today’s well-informed, well-equipped patient has challenged the industry. No longer content to simply follow instruction, the public are often taking a more active role in their healthcare and are finally asking questions of healthcare authorities. This has left pharma companies with little choice but to adapt their approach and bend to the will of the patient, putting the end-user at the core of their business strategy for the first time.
Jane Griffiths will take keynote position and go into detail on three key areas including; why collaborations are the answer to real patient value, what patients actually want from both products and services and what is next for your role.
Over 1000 senior pharmaceutical and healthcare executives will join Jane at the summit; which will take place from 18-20th March, 2014.
