The demand for long length and wider width hardwood flooring planks started over a year ago and has not slowed down. Consumers appreciate broader flooring planks for a more continuous pattern. Johnson Hardwood has decided to add to their wide width products by launching the Pacific Coast series. Named for the variety of colors and climates that make the Pacific coastline so breathtaking and unique. Wood species include birch for its durability and attractive grain pattern, maple due its popularity with consumers, and hickory for its rustic grain pattern and strength. “Of course it’s important to give our customers what they want,” says Johnson Hardwood CEO Bill Schollmeyer. “But it’s also important to anticipate what our customers will want for their floor and home. Understanding home interior and remodeling trends is very important not only to our product development team, but also to our customers and what they can expect from Johnson Hardwood.”

The Pacific Coast series comes 6-1/2 inches wide and in random lengths up to 48 inches long with colors ranging from suede, to copper, auburn, and ebony. Made in the Johnson Hardwood tradition, the birch and hickory products in this series are hand scraped and hand carved to enhance grain pattern designs, and more importantly to mask the dings and dents that can come from years of every day wear and tear. The maple products have a smooth finish making floors sleek and colors vibrant. Each plank goes through a dual hand-staining process to ensure even color tones for breathtaking floors. Johnson Hardwood manufactures floors to look like custom floors while at a budget friendly price. The Pacific Coast series will debut to the general public at the 2014 Surfaces flooring expo held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV January 27th through January 30th.
