Alpenhorn Celebrates 10 Years of Fine Dining Experience in Hermann, Missouri
(PRWEB) December 11, 2013 -- Alpenhorn Gasthaus has been providing locals in Hermann Missouri and visitors from all around an unforgettable dining and lodging experience for 10 years.
Kate and Adrian don't just supply their guests with “dinner”. What they receive at Alpenhorn on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights is much more.
The inspiration for the evening can be traced back to their travels in Europe. During a period of time both Kate and Adrian spent time in Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and Spain. It was a memorable time but they decided early on that everyone should have that opportunity. It was the experience in France’s Loir Valley that made the final impression. While sitting in a dimly lit wine cellar, enjoying gourmet food, pairing fine French wine and cheese, they realized that it’s not just the ingredients that should be enjoyed, but the surroundings, the lighting, the smells, the ambiance.
All around the Missouri region, Kate and Adrian searched for the perfect place. They thought they would settle for Augusta until they found the beautiful location directly outside Hermann. Only 3 minutes from the Amtrak train station, the Alpenhorn experience was waiting for them to transform the house and grounds into a getaway retreat.
What they offer is a direct opposite to the current American way of life. They have transformed rush hour into a stroll through the Norton vineyard. Instead of bright lights and big colors, their candle lit dining room invites visitors to relax and enjoy everything. The food service is paced and methodical allowing guests to savor every bite through each of the four courses.
Apparently, what they offer is well received. Kate comments that she finds great satisfaction seeing people sitting with each other, enjoying conversation, and smiling after every bite. She especially enjoys when food lovers join them for the meal. She can see in their faces that they understand the time and preparation it takes to serve an experience like this.
The entire setting and dining experience is truly for everyone. For some it is easy to afford what Alpenhorn offers. For others it is reserved for special occasions like anniversaries and birthdays. While the price for just food isn’t comparable to some of the other restaurants in the Hermann area, Kate and Adrian offer something which has no competition. Walking away from dinner with a full stomach comes standard. When leaving Alpenhorn guests walk away hand in hand with the ones they love and memories that last a lifetime.
Alpenhorn is pleased to offer their dinners on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. They offer an eclectic wine list and even wine pairing flights. A Four Course Dinner includes a savory hot appetizer, organic salad and homemade bread, a choice between stuffed and wrapped pork tenderloin with a white wine reduction or pan seared Atlantic Salmon, seasonal potatoes and fresh vegetables, and a homemade chocolate dessert.
