Loytr, Inc. to Launch FamilyControls the First Ever Parental Control Social Media App for iPad
San Jose, CA (PRWEB) December 11, 2013 -- Social media has become a pervasive communication vehicle in most of our lives, allowing everyday folks to propel their messages in a way which was unthinkable just ten years ago. Despite the benefits, parents have long agonized over the cyber-dangers that accompany the technology. Finally, Lotyr, Inc. has a solution: the first-ever iPad application that allows parents flexible control of their child’s social media behavior on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram from one seamless platform.
As Founder Cole Ratias explains, "FamilyControls is the first-ever shared experience for Parents and their children to use and explore what the Internet & social media have to offer, in a safe but controlled environment."
FamilyControls, the latest iteration of MyPad that is hailed the “Best app for Facebook” by Wired Magazine, includes a number of parental control features. The app provides parents with the ability to filter inappropriate language; restrict communication to trusted friends and family; limit messaging access; and even turn off the ability to post status updates, pictures, or videos. In addition, the application can inhibit access to shared websites and even alert parents when cyber-bullying is suspected. Parents can create a number of accounts with varying degrees of restriction, depending on the age and maturity level of the child. They can also manage settings for their own social media profiles using FamilyControls.
Many parents are not as social media savvy as their kids. With FamilyControls, some of that oversight is done automagically, giving parents a much needed heads up into what their child/ren are sharing online, and to help them cope with challenges when they arise.
FamilyControls will launch on December 12th in the Apple on-line store for a limited-time promotional price of $4.99.

Loytr, Inc., founded by Cole Ratias, first achieved success with MyPad,--the most popular third-party Facebook application for iPad--when an official Facebook application didn’t exist. MyPad has since evolved into an omni-social platform, exceeding 60 million downloads by allowing users to integrate and engage with their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram profiles using a single intuitive design. According to Ratias, MyPad currently has over 12 million users.
