Some of the most beautiful things come when you are not looking for them and some times in ways you would not expect.

Carmel, IN (PRWEB) December 10, 2013

Jim Wyant of Wyant Photography is pleased to announce that his image Blue and Gold is one of the 20 finalist for the project High Art.

High Art Project is a partnership between The Arts Council of Indianapolis and Clear Channel Outdoor, to promote a new city-wide public art project. The project will include 10 works of art by Indiana artist. Clear Channel will print 10 final art pieces in a billboard format and then place them on billboards around the city of Indianapolis on a rotating basis.

The High Art project will start in January of 2014, each piece will be installed and be on displayed on the billboard for four weeks. After the initial period, the images will be rotated to various location as sites open up in the regular rotation of billboard advertisements. The rotation will take place for one year throughout Marion and the seven surrounding counties.

The top 20 finalist were selected by a jury panel and Jim Wyant’s Photograph, Blue and Gold is one of those finalist.

The final 10 pieces of art will be selected by popular vote through December 13th at http://www.indyartsguide.org/poll/detail/54.

The public is invited to vote and specifically asked to vote for Jim’s image, Blue and Gold. Because they are in alphabetical order, it is the last entry listed.

Blue and Gold was taken while Jim was on a mission trip to India. Through all of the chaos of the city of Delhi; with the crowds, sounds and smells, Jim immediately noticed in the distance a man on his boat, by himself, and was able to find the right angle of light and position to create this beautiful image.

“Some of the most beautiful things come when you are not looking for them and some times in ways you would not expect,” Jim shared about the image selected as a finalist for the High Art project.

Jim is a Master, Craftsman photographer with a gallery located in the Arts and Design District of Carmel, Indiana. With over 30 years of experience, Jim has traveled throughout the United States, India, Kenya and Haiti to capture his unique scenic and nature images.

Jim recently released a website designed specifically for these art pieces and the image “Blue and Gold” is now available for a limited print series at wyantgallery.com.
