(PRWEB) December 11, 2013 -- Slimband is proud to have been involved as a sponsor at the March of Dimes Canada's second-annual OpportuniTeas High Tea, which took place at Toronto’s Fairmont Royal York Hotel on December 8.
This important event takes place to support the March of Dimes' Conductive Education (CE) program, a specialized learning system that combines education and rehabilitation to help children living with disabilities become more mobile, self-sufficient and confident. The (CE) learning system makes an important difference to the families of children with disabilities, by addressing their unique and complex needs.
The event featured actors from The Young & The Restless, the number one rated soap opera in Canada and the US. Leslie Roberts, Anchor of The News Hour and Co-host of The Morning Show on Global Toronto, co-hosted the event with Kate Linder who played Esther Valentine on The Young and the Restless.
Slimband's own consultants, Belina Patini and Aviva Hermannoff were in attendance to meet the two lucky winners of Slimband's contest to win tickets to the event. Belina remarked, “We are so proud to be involved in such an important fundraising event, it’s wonderful to see so many individuals come together to make a positive difference for children.” The tea included a Question & Answer session with the cast, a raffle draw, silent and live auction, autograph signing as well as photo opportunities.
