Latest version of Lean Six Sigma project management tool delivers power with simplicity.

Large and small Lean Six Sigma deployments find success using TRACtion because TRACtion tightly integrates into the natural workflow of project leaders, managers, and champions.

Traction Services, LLC the provider of Lean Six Sigma project management and tracking applications, today discussed the recent successes of its lead product, TRACtion® 3.0. Traction Services’ President, Bill Hathaway observed: “Over the last year, we’ve been pleasantly surprised by the growing popularity of TRACtion for project management and reporting. We have installed a record number of TRACtion instances over this calendar year for both small and large businesses. Based on publicly reported earnings announcements, new TRACtion clients over the last year represent combined revenue of over $177 billion. That represents an enormous amount of economic activity, and a substantial expansion of our customer base.”

TRACtion software utilizes cloud-based technologies and is used by both large and small organizations in a wide variety of industries. Tim Kelley, also a representative of Traction Services, commented on their customer base: “We work with a striking range of customers – from fairly small, clinical healthcare through multi-national, Fortune 50 organizations. The one thing they have in common is the desire to provide an easy-to-use, value-added guide to their process improvement teams. We try very hard to keep the workflow management provided by TRACtion as simple as possible. In fact, several of our recent customers have switched from competitors products to TRACtion 3.0 due to this facet of our service.”

Although TRACtion project tracking software has been available for many years through TRACtion’s exclusive licensing agent,, the application continues to evolve to meet customers’ requirements. Commented Hathaway, the Traction Services President, “We’ve put a lot of emphasis on TRACtion development, and have added foreign currency conversion and Integrated Certification Management functionality, while not deviating from our mantra of keeping the interface simple. By focusing on providing value to project teams, we drive out wasteful activity and help assure the teams’ project work actually gets done.”

Other key TRACtion 3.0 enhancements include support of knowledge-sharing through a comprehensive project search tool, the ability to categorize shared files by project, phase or other characteristic, and hierarchical user-defined fields for organizational mapping. The Integrated Belt Certification Management feature provides deployment leaders with visibility to the educational progress and certification status for any number of Lean Six Sigma Belt candidates. With a TRACtion 3.0 system, program administrators also now have the ability to create “Super User” accounts for full high-level user control, add access authorization for company suppliers and other external organizations, and set role project privileges independently for discrete stages of project completion.

Since its initial release in 2004, TRACtion has provided Lean Six Sigma deployments of all sizes with a flexible, customer-defined tool that captures, shares and reports essential project information. From the start, TRACtion has featured easy-to-use and intuitive page designs, including a project idea/selection hopper, integration with’s online training courses, and numerous project roadmap options, ranging from DMAIC and multiple DFSS roadmaps to single phase projects, such as A3 and quick improvement or “just do it” projects. TRACtion provides a high degree of user-defined functionality through an administrative interface, so deployments can customize the interface, set alerts, design custom reports, and designate access levels and rules, etc. without surcharges or custom programming requirements.

“At an affordable, competitive price, TRACtion 3.0 delivers a comprehensive toolset for project oversight and analysis,” commented Bill Hathaway. “Large and small Lean Six Sigma deployments find success using TRACtion because TRACtion tightly integrates into the natural workflow of project leaders, managers, and champions. When project leaders actually enjoy using a project management tool, they can provide more thorough data, which results in accurate tracking and financial reports for deployment leaders.”
