Habitat Systems, distributor of park, playground and landscape equipment in Western Canada unveiled their new playground tile surfacing line today, DINOFLEX®.

DINOFLEX® recycled rubber playground tiles are a Canadian made product, designed to provide an impact absorbing surface in a playground environment. Their self-aligning interlocking system allows for fast and accurate installation. DINOFLEX® tiles meet the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) F1292 standards for impact attenuation of surfacing materials within the Use Zone of Playground Equipment and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards for accessibility. Other features include water permeability, slip resistance, durability, and a selection of sizes and thicknesses to meet specific project needs.

Habitat Systems’ new relationship with DINOFLEX® furthers Habitat Systems’ commitment and concern for the state of the environment. Habitat Systems makes a conscious effort to align themselves with other corporations who care about the environment as much as they do, and DINOFLEX® is no exception. DINOFLEX® playground tiles are truly a “green” product, made entirely of local recycled tires. They have been recognized by the Environmental Design and Construction magazine, are original members of the Canadian Green Building Council, and are participants in the Climate Smart Program, by committing to reduce their greenhouse emissions by implementing strategic reduction strategies.

The recycled nature of the DINOFLEX® playground tiles also offers possible cost savings for your playground projects. This specific product is eligible for the Tire Stewardship BC's Community Grant Program and the Alberta Recycling’s Municipal Demonstration Grant Program. The playground tiles also come with a 5 Year Warranty. Together with DINOFLEX®, Habitat Systems can help you create an accessible, environmentally friendly and safe surface for your next playground project.
