Quincy, MA (PRWEB) December 11, 2013
The DI Wire (http://www.thediwire.com), a start up news publication for the Direct Investment Industry, today announced its official launch.
The purpose of The DI Wire is to provide the Direct Investment Industry with a dedicated news publication that will allow all levels of professionals to become more informed, better educated, and well suited to drive the industry’s continued growth.
Direct Investments have enjoyed a blockbuster year in terms of capital raising and liquidity events, specifically non-traded REITs and Business Development Companies (BDCs). In addition, alternative investments as a category have been a major focus for broker dealers and financial advisors. As industries grow, so does the need for a dedicated trade publication.
The DI Wire was formed to provide Direct Investment professionals with daily news, educational content, best practices, job opportunities, industry events, and directories of sponsors, broker dealers, and affiliate firms.
There are many excellent organizations already supporting the Direct Investment Industry. The DI Wire aims to complement the services provided by these groups and further promote the unique value each provide to the many sponsors, broker dealers, financial advisors, and affiliates in the direct investment industry.
Our exclusive reporting covers topics such as due diligence, regulatory events, education, mergers & acquisitions, who’s hiring, who’s firing, people moves, new selling agreements, liquidity, recent SEC filings and more.
Access to The DI Wire is by log in only. Members are limited to employees of sponsors, broker dealers, financial advisors, registered investment advisors (RIAs), and employees of affiliate firms.
The DI Wire (http://www.thediwire.com) is a service of Quincy Media, Inc. which is privately owned by David B. LeGacy Jr. Mr. LeGacy most recently worked for a sponsor of oil and gas limited partnerships and was part of a wholesaling team responsible for raising capital through independent broker dealers. Prior to this role, he managed a sales desk for MFS Retirement Services, Inc.
“While working for MFS, I relied daily on a trade publication dedicated to the 401k Industry. On my first day of joining a firm in the Direct Investment Industry, I immediately searched out a similar website, but was disappointed to find it did not exist. After years of wishing there was a resource I could count on daily, I decided to spearhead the effort myself. Many years of planning later, I am excited to provide the Direct Investment Industry its first and only online dedicated news publication,” commented LeGacy.
Web design and development was completed by Eric Nelson of Basstrail Design. “Eric was a pleasure to work with throughout this entire process. We interviewed 10 firms over an 8 week period and are happy to have selected Basstrail to design and build The DI Wire's website,” said LeGacy.
The DI Wire team pledges to work tirelessly seeking out stories, information, new ideas, trends, analyses, successes, failures, as well as more from you, your peers, and industry titans.
“I am proud of our team, our business plan, and the unique content we have planned for 2014,” remarked LeGacy.
