Macclesfield, Cheshire (PRWEB UK) 11 December 2013
New car registrations in the UK will be ending the year on a high, after The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) revealed that figures for November 2013 were up by 7%.
With 159,581 new cars registered, it meant that it was the best November performance for registrations in this country since 2004, as well as being the 21st consecutive month of growth for new car registrations.
It means there have been a total of 2,111,819 new cars registered throughout 2013, which has bettered registrations for 2012 by 9.9%, and with a month still to go.
The Ford Fiesta and Ford Focus continued to remain the top two best-selling models for November, but there was a change in third place with Vauxhall Astra replacing the Vauxhall Corsa.
Car Loan 4U Director Ryan Dignan, comments:
“It’s great news to see the continual monthly rise of new car registrations in the UK and over two million cars being bought throughout the year.
“When you see that those figures have topped new car registrations in 2012 by almost 10% and that doesn’t even include new cars to be registered in December, it puts into sharp focus just how impressive it has been to see a month by month increase.
“It’s very positive news to end the year and I think we can be buoyant towards 2014 with great expectations that the demand for new cars will continue to rise.”
