Nationwide Title Clearing, Inc. (NTC) Holds Toys for Tots® Drive for 3rd Consecutive Year During Holiday Season
Palm Harbor, FL (PRWEB) December 11, 2013 -- Nationwide Title Clearing, Inc. (NTC), a leading post-closing services provider for the residential mortgage industry, has integrated corporate social responsibility (CSR) into its business model—the Palm Harbor company believes in taking an active role in the viability of its community, extending beyond its products and profits. NTC is supporting the Marine Toys for Tots® Foundation during the organization’s annual holiday collection campaign for the third consecutive year. NTC will serve as a drop-off site for employees and nearby residents to bring new toys for children in need throughout the Tampa Bay community.
The Marine Corp Reserve’s Toys for Tots Foundation began in 1947, when retired Marine Major Bill Hendricks and a group of Marine Reservists in Los Angeles collected and distributed 5,000 toys to needy children. According to the Toys for Tots website, the program has collected and distributed over 469 million toys to more than 216 million children since its inception (1). Toys for Tots officials say that the goal of the program is to deliver hope to children in need, and John Hillman, NTC’s CEO, commented that NTC shares that commitment to supporting deserving children and families. NTC donates to Toys for Tots annually, and this year, the company hopes to help Pinellas County reach its goal of gifting 1,500 less fortunate children with toys for the holidays.
“Finding a present under the tree on Christmas morning is an experience every child deserves,” said retired Marine Major Bill Grein, vice president of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation (2).
NTC kicked off its annual toy drive by requesting employees and members of the local community to bring in new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages to NTC’s offices. The gifts will be delivered to the local Toys for Tots collection center later this month for distribution to local underprivileged children in time for the holidays.
While NTC’s clientele in the residential mortgage banking industry is located throughout the country, Hillman explained that the company’s corporate culture is focused on giving back to the community in which the organization and its employees reside.

Toys for Tots is also accepting donations in person or online; financial gifts may be submitted via credit card and directed in care of the Marine Reserve Unit in Tampa to support local children.
