Cooksongold Scoops BJA’s Prestigious Jewellery Making Supplier Prize
(PRWEB UK) 12 December 2013 -- Cooksongold has been crowned Supplier of the Year in the British Jewellers’ Association’s (BJA) annual awards ceremony.
The jewellery making supplier held off tough competition from five other well-known companies, taking the trophy in a glamorous ball held at St Johns Hotel, Solihull on Thursday, December 5.
The announcement comes after weeks of tense voting, which was open to all jewellery making fans and customers – not just members of the British Jewellers’ Association.
Every year, the BJA Awards recognises individuals and companies amongst its membership who have excelled in their respective fields.
Adam Hunter, Cooksongold’s commercial manager said: “We’re more than delighted to have won Supplier of the Year in the BJA Awards.
“It’s heart-warming to know our hard work has been recognised not only by respected industry figures, but by our loyal customers who have taken the time to vote for us.
“We’d like to extend our thanks to everyone involved in making the ceremony such a special event.”
Cooksongold has already had a successful year, with the Supplier of the Year scoop coming shortly after the jewellery making company had its most successful sales day ever.
“Just earlier this month, we topped our last sales record by a whopping 20 per cent.
“To achieve this and then win the prestigious BJA award has really topped off what has already been a great year for us.
“We’re a bit speechless. But it’s put huge smiles on our faces, and has given us even more determination to make 2014 an even more successful year.
“We couldn’t have hoped for a better Christmas present,” said Adam.
The British Jewellers’ Association is a representative body for businesses in the silverware and jewellery industries. It has more than 1,100 members.
The other categories in its 2013 awards were: Newcomer of the Year, Retailer of the Year, Designer of the Year, Member of the Year, and the Lifetime Achievement Award.
