Southcoast Health System has announced that after an extensive national search, Greg Robinson, Ph.D., has been appointed to the position of Executive Director, Enterprise Informatics. Dr. Robinson was most recently with AltaMed Health Services as VP, Quality Performance Improvement & Medical Informatics.
Dr. Robinson's experience includes corporate appointments, consulting to private and public clients, as well as healthcare informatics start-ups. Michael Hyder, MD, MPH, FACC, Chief Medical Information Officer for Southcoast Health System, said, "Greg will bring invaluable experience and drive to our plan to execute on the bold vision of creating a department of informatics that is a centralized source of truth for the health system."
Dr. Robinson has a BA in Economics and earned his PhD in Health Services and Policy Analysis at UC, Berkeley.
