CPAexcel Announces 2014 CPA Exam Review Course Updates are Now Available
Hoboken, New Jersey (PRWEB) December 12, 2013 -- CPAexcel is pleased to announce the release of the 2014 content updates to the CPAexcel CPA Exam Review Course in accordance with the 2014 AICPA CPA Exam changes. These updates have been incorporated into the course and include specific updates to study text, multiple-choice questions, task based simulations and video lectures currently within CPAexcel.
The 2014 updates to the Business Environment and Concepts Section (BEC) include expanded coverage of information technology with two new lectures covering topics that are becoming more prominent: Enterprise-wide and Cloud-Based Systems as well as Mobile Device, End-User and Small Business Controls. Additionally, the 2014 updates also include expanded coverage of the recently updated (2013) COSO integrated framework for internal control including a new lecture on the 17 Principles of Internal Control.
Several lessons in the Financial Section (FAR) Governmental and Not-for-Profit area have been updated to account for Statement 67-Financial Reporting for Pension Plans (an amendment of GASB Statement No. 25). Additionally, many of the governmental accounting lessons have been updated to account for a recent change in terminology affecting the "equity" section of governmental financial statements.
The Regulation Section (REG) has two new lessons that cover the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).
Overall, many questions have been added to all four parts of CPAexcel, including 140 task-based simulations, 13 written communication problems and more than 170 new multiple-choice questions.
