Powerful Features in ILINX 5.4 Release Positions the Software as a Serious Contender in the ECM Space
Olympia, WA (PRWEB) December 13, 2013 -- ImageSource®, manufacturer of ILINX Software, has officially released the 5.4 version of the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform and middleware suite. This release is packed with numerous new features, which combine with extended functionality in the 5.0 release earlier in 2013 to position ILINX as a new leader in the ECM market.
“In the last two releases of ILINX software, we have successfully ramped up the feature set and improved performance, while continuing to maintain simplicity for the user, the administrator and the installation/maintenance team. Versions 5.0 and 5.4 have met our ongoing objective—to make ILINX the most agile imaging and content technology being developed today,” commented Randy Weakly, Vice President of Software Development for ImageSource. “In the last two innings, our ace development team has just knocked it out of the park.”
ILINX Capture, one of the cornerstones of the suite, has experienced some major enhancements with the v5.4 release. One critical addition to the new version is the ability to extend the capture user experience to leverage external systems, information and custom business logic. Commonly known as client-side scripting, application examples include: calculating taxes/totals and auto-populating index fields, performing invoice data matching against receipt and purchase order information, and leveraging customer information from a CRM system. Also worth noting: the addition of zonal recognition and extraction for workflow, a test-to-production migration utility and enhanced out-of-the-box reporting.
Another core product, ILINX Content Store, has added serious capabilities while improving client and server performance. Specific functionality built into v5.4 includes document retention management, document versioning, quick navigation nodes and enhancements to ILINX Content Store’s unique Notebook technology. Combined with capabilities added in the v5.0 release, like the ability to work offline and sync later, ILINX Content Store is uniquely positioned to both augment and challenge the top tier of ECM software.
The ILINX product platform, known for its agility, simplicity and incredibly small IT footprint, includes ILINX Capture, ILINX Content Store and ILINX eForms. In addition, the suite includes middleware products that have undergone critical advances in the 5.4 release: ILINX Capture Email Import, ILINX Capture Format Converter, ILINX Import, ILINX Export, and ILINX Release. The 5.4 release also includes a new product for processing COLD/ERM print streams called ILINX Advanced Report Management.
ILINX simply enables the capture, processing and management of virtually any type of business content, from paper documents to email to digital assets. Highly scalable technology, ILINX integrates with line-of-business systems to automate information processes across an organization. The ILINX architecture allows for a variety of delivery options, including cloud and mobile solutions. ILINX takes information out of traditional constraints, enabling capture and access anywhere, anytime on a huge host of devices.
