Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) December 12, 2013 -- Thirteen years ago, Wynesta Dale traveled from Southern California to Texas to help her parents pack up their house and move. She didn’t know it at the time, but years later that experience would encourage her and her husband Steve to open their new business – Caring Transitions of the Angeles Foothills.

“When I got to Texas 13 years ago, my dad ended up in the hospital, so that left me, alone, in their three bedroom home, which was crammed with 50+ years of accumulation, trying to decide what would fit into a small one bedroom assisted-living residence unit. We eventually got them moved closer to us in Southern California, but those boxes never got unpacked and a month later we moved them into our home and most of their stuff went into a storage locker,” Wynesta said. “We had the storage locker until after both of them had passed. We are not sorry that we did it, but we sure wished there had been a better solution to the problem, which brings us to Caring Transitions.”
Caring Transitions of the Angeles Foothills serves the San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles including LaCanada-Flintridge, Altadena, Sierra Madre, Monrovia, Azusa, Glendora, San Dimas, Claremont, Upland and Rancho Cucamonga as well as Pasadena, San Marino and Arcadia.
Before opening Caring Transitions, Wynesta had a career in environmental consulting and later owned her own small environmental consulting firm. At 59, she decided she wanted to do something more meaningful. When she and Steve started researching franchise options, they came across Caring Transitions – a solution to some of the challenges they faced in 2000.
“Caring Transitions is a service that ‘spoke’ to both of us. As a friend pointed out, I’ve gone from managing the environment at large to helping people with their personal environments – it’s much more rewarding and fulfilling,” Wynesta said.
Wynesta is getting the business started and the plan is to have Steve join her at the helm once he retires.
“Helping my parents through their transition was probably the most difficult of my life’s experiences.
