The holidays are right around the corner and now is the perfect time to begin planning a Holiday Party in Oregon Wine Country. Spending time in the Willamette Valley during the holidays is a great way to make some lasting wine country memories before the New Year.

Snow covers the tops of the surrounding hills and mountains while the valley often remains green and mild, candles glow in windows, delicious smells emanate from local eateries, and Northwest holiday cheer is abundant. The Joel Palmer House wants to share their new winter menu items with guests by offering a unique setting for a holiday party, whether the gathering is a group of office colleagues or an annual family reunion. Chef Christopher Czarnecki and his team can customize a private party menu featuring their delicious, wild mushroom focused cuisine for up to 25 guests.

“The historic, elegant atmosphere of the Joel Palmer House is the perfect backdrop for a memorable winter party,” says Chef Czarnecki. “We work every group to customize their event to ensure guests feel right at home.”

The holiday cheer doesn't have to stop with festive parties. The Joel Palmer welcomes guests to dine with them five nights a week, offering an elegant, three-course tasting menu as well as an extravagant eight-course “Mushroom Madness” menu.

Armed with four generations of know-how, new vegetarian and gluten-free recipes, and mouthwatering local ingredients, Chef Czarnecki and his team will create a memorable holiday dining experience for any guest.

Of note, the Joel Palmer House ranks as one of Oregon's finest historic homes and is on the National Register of Historic Places and the Oregon Historic Register. Built in 1857, the house is Dayton's oldest standing structure.
