In preparation for the winter months, real-time information experts Rockshore have announced the latest release of their Real-time Airport product, which helps airports minimise the impact of bad weather on operations.
Now live across their customer base, Real-time Airport version 3.4.1 includes new Operational Conditions and De-Icing modules as part of the overall collaborative decision making product. The aim of these new modules is to reduce the impact of winter weather by adapting to the changing conditions; including in turn-around calculations the extra time spent de-icing, changing key operational metrics quickly and easily, and adapting planning based on the current capacity of the airport.
“With this latest release, airports can incorporate a range of winter de-icing operations into their planning and adapt to any changes in capacity in real-time whilst still remaining accurate and informed” said Rockshore’s Aviation Sales Manager, James Creegan.
“The new modules were built with the aim of improving the overall efficiency and smooth running of airports and they further strengthen Rockshore’s aviation product offering, which is currently live at Rome Fiumicino airport.”
The Operational Conditions module is a wider take on the Adverse Conditions module as set out by EUROCONTROL and their Concept Element 4 for CDM, whereby the airport runs collaboratively during periods of predicted or unpredicted reductions in capacity.
Rockshore’s De-Icing and Operational Conditions modules are available as part of a full A-CDM solution, or as a stand-alone module.
