The Miracle League of Arizona, located in Northeast Scottsdale, is a non-profit charitable organization that enables over 200 children and young adults with special needs the opportunity to play the game of baseball, as a team member in an organized league. The 2.3 million dollar stadium has a rubberized turf for easy maneuverability of wheelchairs and other adaptive devices. The complex also includes an adaptive playground and batting cages for all MLAZ ballplayers.
This Saturday meet Santa and the members of the Miracle League of Arizona at the Miracle League ballpark located at the Cholla Campus for their first annual winter carnival, open to the public $3 for children and $5 for adults.

Time: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The Miracle League of Arizona is looking for athletes to join the winter and spring season to participate visit the website, http://www.mlaz.org and sign up. There is no charge to play, and donations are welcomed.
Upcoming season dates are as follows:
Winter – January 11 to March 1, 2014
Tuesday evenings from 6-8:15 p.m./ Wednesday evenings 5:30-7 p.m./ Saturdays 10 a.m.-3:15 p.m.
Spring – March 22 to May 3, 2014
Tuesday evenings 6-8:15 p.m./ Wednesday evenings 5:30-7 p.m./ Saturday 9 a.m.- 2:15 p.m.
Volunteers are welcome ages 10 and up; training and orientation mandatory for all new or interested volunteers, Thursday, January 9, at 6 p.m. at 11130 E. Cholla Campus.
