Hong Kong (PRWEB) December 19, 2013

Christie®, a global leader in digital cinema projection, is proud to be selected as the sole DLP® Cinema® projector provider for this year’s version of the prestigious cinema exhibition, CineAsia.

CineAsia 2013, which occurred December 10-12 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, is the only Pan-Asian event of its kind bringing together professionals from across the film industry. Individuals expected at this year’s event include cinema owners, suppliers, film buyers and distributors.

“CineAsia is the Asian cinema industry must-attend event of the year,” said Mr. Robert H. Sunshine, managing director of the annual convention. “We’re honored to bring CineAsia 2013 to Hong Kong and pleased to count Christie as a sponsor. Christie’s state-of-the-art equipment delivers flexibility, functionality, and the finest visual cinematic experience possible. We’re excited about having Christie as our projector provider for this year’s CineAsia.”

Christie’s Solaria Series will be used for this year’s screenings at the convention. CineAsia 2013 will feature Hollywood and major Asian films before they are released, providing an opportunity for industry experts to make more informed programming decisions.

The Christie Solaria Series is a complete projection solution, ideal for screens up to 35 feet wide. Built for theaters and post-production houses, Christie’s Solaria Series projectors deliver the most reliable, DCI-compliant, digital cinema solutions available today in their class. They are noted for their ease of operation and maintenance, and claim the lowest total cost of ownership on the market.

“We are proud to be a part of CineAsia 2013 and have the opportunity to showcase our Solaria Series at an event of this stature,” added Lin Yu, vice president, Christie Asia Pacific. “It has been a great pleasure and joy working together with the organizers of CineAsia 2013 to create the ultimate screening experience for this year’s attendees.”

In previous years, film screenings held at CineAsia were conducted at a number of different cinemas rather than one central location. This year, however, show organizers have selected Theatre 1 of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre as the single site for all the screenings. Given the chance to provide the projectors required for Theatre 1 screenings at CineAsia 2013, Christie is elated to render its expertise for the event.
