London (PRWEB UK) 15 December 2013
Language Connect, a global language services and multilingual digital marketing company, has been ranked in the Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the UK. Now in its 17th year, the league table has become the definitive and most-acclaimed barometer of private company growth.
Iwona Stepien and Ben Taylor both in their twenties at the time founded Language Connect with just £3,000 in start-up capital from their South London flat. The company’s growth in revenue of 410% over the last 3 years placed it 50th in the Fast Track 100. Language Connect joins an illustrious list that has included some of the brightest UK business success stories in recent years such as Innocent Drinks and Net-A-Porter.com.
Virgin’s Sir Richard Branson recognised Language Connect as a Fast Track 100 business started by young entrepreneurs in his comments on this year’s winners. He said “We’ve had so many young entrepreneurs excited by the chance to receive a helping hand to turn their dreams into reality. The businesses making it into the Fast Track 100 can be an inspiration to them.”
Commenting on the news, Managing Director Ben Taylor said: “Being recognised in The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 is the proudest achievement for us at Language Connect in our 10-year history and is well deserved for the hard work put in by the exceptionally talented team that we have here. As the UK economy bounces back from recession, we expect future growth both here domestically and internationally in the US and Germany as well as the emerging economies in Asia.”
