LTE Threatened By Interference: LBA Fields RF Interference Remediation Team
Greenville, NC (PRWEB) December 13, 2013 -- LBA Group, Inc. announced its technical consultancy unit, Lawrence Behr Associates, Inc., has formed a highly equipped rapid response RF interference remediation team. The team of experienced personnel and resources is being led by LBA Chief Technical Officer Chris Horne, PhD.
“New LTE systems are very sensitive to interference from sources such as CFL bulbs, FM broadcast transmissions, utility supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, and even rusty bolts,” said Horne.
Interference can wreak havoc on the massive amounts of data flowing through an LTE base station. Because of the critical nature of modern communications, wireless carriers and their customers demand fast response and remediation of these issues. LBA has deployed this highly specialized team to meet the urgent demands of its customers.
“LBA can not only find the source of interference but also help negotiate a solution if the interference source is coming from a third party,” added Horne.
LBA is a noted authority on RF and wireless infrastructure issues having published a number of articles on the topic and established a successful track record of providing solutions that span decades. LBA also manages the popular 4G LTE Radio Interference Forum on LinkedIn.
