We look forward to being a resource to many who are looking for some extra support, as well as those who want a jump start on their recovery.
Birmingham, Ala (PRWEB) December 16, 2013
The Highlands is pleased to announce that it will hold an intensive treatment program this December and January. The Holiday Intensive program is being offered as a convenient way for individuals to become connected with the recovery community. Those who need an extra boost to get back on track will benefit from the program, as well as those who are just starting out in eating disorder treatment.
The Holiday Intensive program will consist of a minimum of 14 days of treatment, and will be available for individuals ages 16 and older. The Highlands works with insurance companies and in many cases, this program will be covered by insurance. Special rates are available for self-paying clients.
The staff at The Highlands is excited to be offering this program. Providing much needed treatment in a format that is convenient for many will allow the center to reach some individuals that otherwise might not seek treatment.
"The Holiday Intensive is a great opportunity for individuals to take part in a short, rigorous program over the holidays," said Nicole Siegfried, Clinical Director of The Highlands. "Many people are on vacation from work, school, or other commitments at this time and can devote two weeks to getting the help they need for an eating disorder. We look forward to being a resource to many who are looking for some extra support, as well as those who want a jump start on their recovery."
Transitional housing is available for out-of-town participants of the program. For more information about the Holiday Intensive program, visit http://thehighlandstc.com/blog/holiday-intensive-program/
