Like other computer programs and systems, GiftLogic software's employee security features allow administrators to grant access to the system on a case-by-case basis. "Each employee should be given unique login credentials and individual user permissions," the spokesperson explained. "For example, a store owner should have full administrative rights to the software while a part-time clerk should have limited access. Depending on the clerk's duties, user permissions might include basic point-of-sale checkout processes."
The spokesperson further explained that now management-level employees could be assigned more generous permissions such as the ability to void transactions or perform price overrides. "It's all about putting a system of checks and balances into place so that the system is as secure as possible and that appropriate rights are granted to the right employees."
In addition to its ability to assign individual permissions, GiftLogic's employee security feature also integrates with GiftLogic's optional Time Clock module. "Employees clock in by logging into GiftLogic," the spokesperson said. "This module, in turn, can integrate with QuickBooks."
GiftLogic's employee security features are easy to configure and use. Once set up, employees can log into GiftLogic using their user name and password. Alternately, biometrics, such as a GiftLogic-compatible fingerprint integration and reader, can be used.
