AdvantaIRA Organizes a Food and Blanket Drive for Veterans

Share Article

AdvantaIRA, located on Royal Palm Square Boulevard in Fort Myers, has organized a food and blanket drive for the Hearts and Homes for Veterans, a local newly formed non-profit in southwest Florida.

The staff at AdvantaIRA went to each business located on Royal Palm Square Boulevard and asked them to participate in the food drive, and the businesses that wanted to participate were given a flyer and box to hold the donations. The food and blanket drive runs for most of December. AdvantaIRA staff will collect boxes from each business on December 20 and deliver them to the Hearts and Homes for Veterans.

The Hearts and Homes for Veterans mission statement states “let us remember the homeless veterans in their struggles to survive in their daily lives, and let us not forget the importance of our mission to end that struggle.” Help us help them in fulfilling their mission statement. Any donation is appreciated. We are collecting blankets, canned food that preferably have a pop off top and any other necessities that will help out a local veteran. Any donation item can be dropped off at the AdvantaIRA Fort Myers office or several other businesses on Royal Palm Square Boulevard up until December 20.
