Albertville, Alabama (PRWEB) January 06, 2014
The number one reason companies are considering the operation of their vehicles on natural gas is to save money. Corridor Clean Fuels is making it easier for fleet owners/operators to answer the question of whether switching from traditional fuels to natural gas makes sense by offering a simple to use, web-based, savings calculator. The calculator can be used to determine savings and paybacks for individual vehicles, or for groups of like vehicles with similar fuel usage volumes, and includes the addition of residual value, which is an important variable to consider in the cost-benefit analysis question.
According to Randy Spence, Corridor Clean Fuels’ COO, “There are a number of good calculators available on the web, from very basic to extremely complex. We wanted to develop one that was extremely simple for the user, but would also allow a better financial picture than some of the calculators currently available. This calculator is by no means exhaustive, but will help the fleet owner considering compressed natural gas (CNG) to make an initial evaluation before moving on to a more detailed financial analysis.”
To access the calculator, visit http://www.cynergyfuels.com and click on the “Savings Calculator” tab. Corridor Clean Fuels welcomes the opportunity to help fleet owners complete a more detailed financial analysis specific to their fleet.
Corridor Clean Fuels, LLC, in partnership with Home Oil Company and the Southeast Alabama Gas District, recently announced plans to build the state of Alabama’s largest CNG station at Home Oil’s location at 735 Ross Clark Circle in Dothan, Alabama. Corridor’s new station will handle high-volume heavy duty trucks and refuse fleets, along with a growing number of light and medium duty natural gas vehicles (NGVs).
