Warm up the nachos and get out the beer hats because Super Bowl XLVIII is coming to New Jersey. Millions of viewers will be glued to their television sets on Sunday, February 2, 2014 to watch Super Bowl XLVIII take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Expecting to bring in 400,000 patrons to the New York-New Jersey area New Jersey Transit is encouraging fans to utilize their services by creating the New Jersey Transit’s Championship Dining Program.
The program collaborates with local businesses to offer a discount during Super Bowl week for customers who show their New Jersey Transit pass. The purpose is to attract visitors to restaurants, hotels and other area attractions. Jersey Shore businesses may partake in the program as well.
Participating businesses will be listed on the NJ transit website along with a link to their websites. For more information, email NJ Transit at JBenjamin(at)NJTransit(dot)com or contact State Assemblyman Dave Rible’s office at AsmRible(at)njleg(dot)org or 732.974-0400.
