Yadkin County, NC has awarded Communications International (“Ci”) a contract to replace its aging public safety radio system. The new system uses Harris technology to improve coverage and improve communications for the county’s law enforcement, Emergency Medical Services, Rescue squad, Animal Control and Fire departments.

The new three-channel VHF analog simulcast radio system features Harris' VIDA® network and Microwave Networks Inc. (“MNI”) microwave technologies to create a future-ready radio system with powerful network management tools and reliable site connectivity.

John Rosati, Vice President of Ci stated, “We are excited to implement this new system and play a key part in Yadkin County’s plans to provide its emergency responders with the tools they need to respond quickly and safely”.
