Keilhauer introduces Howden – a tuxedo-style lounge chair and sofa.

'I think designers will love working with this series,' Jackie Maze, VP Sales + Marketing, Keilhauer.

Sometimes, the simplest design is the most difficult to achieve. Taking its cue from the tuxedo-style sofas of mid-century design, Howden delivers simplicity in a beautifully elegant result. Seat and back cushions appear to be loose, but they are artfully attached to the main structure of the sofa and chair. That one aspect alone would make these the ideal choices for public spaces, but their style and durability also make them attractive for use in receptions and lounges.

“We wanted to add this simple, tuxedo-style set to our product offering,” says Mike Keilhauer, President, Keilhauer, “with a steel base that can be finished in chrome for a very modern look. The sofa is as wide as a three-seater, but we’ve used two cushions instead of three, which gives the sofa a sleek, crisp look that is very appealing.”

“I think designers will love working with this series,” explains Jackie Maze, VP Sales + Marketing, Keilhauer. “The clean, simple lines provide a perfect canvas for creative upholstery choices – dots or stripes, geometrics or florals, textures or sateens -- whatever a space is calling for, Howden will wear it gracefully.”

Howden is covered by Keilhauer’s standard ten-year warranty. Keilhauer’s long tradition of environmental sensitivity was applied to the design and manufacture of Howden. The company makes products out of materials that are recycled or sustainable; last for the longest possible time; are recyclable; and are manufactured with 100% renewable energy, in facilities that produce zero waste to landfill. Howden will carry BIFMA level 2 (Gold) certification and GREENGUARD® Indoor Air Quality certification.
