Weiss PR, a Mid-Atlantic-based public relations firm which helps clients reach, engage, and influence the right audiences in order to achieve their communications and business goals, has hired Matthew Pugh as Vice President.
Pugh brings more than a decade of public relations and digital experience to the firm, with an emphasis on high-growth B2B technology companies.
The addition of Pugh will allow Weiss PR to further expand its work in the technology industry, while enhancing the social media services already provided by the firm. He will also focus on sales and marketing for the firm.

Prior to joining Weiss PR, Pugh was Director of Communications for a business intelligence software company, Logi Analytics, where he devised and executed comprehensive public relations, analyst relations, and social media programs. Prior to that, he led the media and influencer relations programs for the digital marketing agency, R2integrated, which helped advance awareness of the company on a national level. He also served as a Public Relations Specialist at SafeNet, Inc., providing strategic communications support for the company’s enterprise data protection division.
Pugh previously spent several years working with Weiss PR’s founders, Ray Weiss and Jessica Trzyna, at a national PR firm.
In 2003, he earned a MDDC Press Association award for feature writing. He is a Towson University graduate.
