Keyframe-Entertainment Announces a New Film Screening Platform Dedicated to Electronic Music Films, to Be Launched in 2014
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) December 31, 2013 -- The new screening platform will be an online web resource that allows Electronic Music filmmakers to share their movies with fans, film buffs, and festivals. These Electronic Music films are then licensed to Screening Partners that organize community film screenings and help share the evolution of Electronic Music Culture. This unprecedented catalog of Electronic Music films aims to document and preserve the evolution of the culture through community screenings held at art galleries, clubs, universities, film festivals, and many other locations.
Individuals and communities interested in becoming Screening Partners will be able to select the film, complete the screening agreement online, pay associated screening fees, and schedule the screening date/time. Keyframe-Entertainment provides the film and licensing agreement.
There is no cost for filmmakers to include their work as part of the Keyframe introductory catalog. Details about this new film licensing platform are forthcoming at: Keyframe website. Facilitating the sharing of these Electronic Music films will foster community engagement as fans gather to watch films and discuss content through Q & A sessions.
Keyframe-Entertainment managed the “Electronic Awakening” film screening campaign that consisted of over 100 locations worldwide such as Harvard University and Yale University, and in South America, Europe, Japan, Australia, the U.S. and many more. “Electronic Awakening” is an ethnographic documentary film by Director / Producer Andrew Johner that investigates the spirituality of Electronic Dance Music culture and its ties to ancient shamanic rituals.
After the “Electronic Awakening” campaign, Keyframe directed the screening campaign for “The Bloom Series: A Journey Through Transformational Festivals.” After years of managing these community screening campaigns, Keyframe decided to automate the entire community film screening process.
The forthcoming film screening platform will provide EDM fans cinematic history, knowledge and context about this global Electronic Music phenomenon. According to International Music Summit, the Electronic Dance Music global market is estimated to be approximately $4.5 billion in 2013. According to IFPI, digital music revenues grew an impressive 9.8% in 2012, and is estimated to be a $15 to $20 billion global industry. The Electronic Music industry has come to the forefront of today’s society, penetrating the country’s most significant events such as the largest music festivals, television commercials, the Super Bowl, and the Grammy Awards. The film screening platform will provide Electronic Music fans an alternative way outside of festivals to interact and also enjoy films about their culture.
The film screening platform is set to launch in 2014 with already released EDM-related films/videos. Its goal is to grow the released film catalog substantially by 2015, and eventually offer new films on the platform. The current catalog includes the films “Electronic Awakening”, “The Bloom Series”, and “American Jungle” (in production now).
