Seattle, WA (PRWEB) December 18, 2013
Mollye Taylor, a mom of four from Marysville, is the next Verity Mom.
Taylor won the opportunity through an online job search at veritymom.com, Verity Credit Union’s program to connect with local-area moms. Thirty-five women applied for the job and competed against each other with videos and blog posts. After an in-person meeting with other applicants, and two rounds on online voting, Taylor came out on top.
Taylor took over from current Verity Mom, Danielle Gahl, in November.
Along with the job title, Taylor will receive a $20,000 one-year contract for the part-time gig, a MacBook Pro computer, an iPod Touch and a video camera.
According to Melina Young, Verity Credit Union’s director of marketing, “Mollye has the right balance of online presence, authentic content, writing ability and video skills for the job. She’s personable and quirky, and we can’t wait to see what she does with the Verity Mom role.” Adds Young, “We also want to thank Danielle Gahl for doing a fantastic job as the Verity Mom for the past two years. Danielle is amazingly talented and the new Verity Mom has big shoes to fill, in her own way.”
veritymom.com is an engaging blog designed to inspire and connect Seattle-area moms. Readers can laugh along with the Verity Mom’s stories, find suggestions for activities to do with kids and learn about financial topics. The blog was started in 2009; Taylor will be the third Verity Mom.
