elevate DIGITAL, a leading developer of street-level digital interactive technology, has partnered with the American Red Cross to use interactive technology to inspire giving and encourage donations for the nonprofit organization during the holiday season.

elevate DIGITAL created an interactive campaign and custom application to help the Red Cross bolster donations across the Chicago area. As part of the campaign, elevate DIGITAL touchscreen displays around the city of Chicago will feature information about the Red Cross and encourage users to donate via an application that sends a link directly to the user’s mobile device or email.

“Our interactive network and technology will provide the Red Cross with a new channel to reach consumers at the street-level,” said George Burciaga, CEO of elevate DIGITAL. “We’ve created an entirely new way to give this holiday season, with a focus on consumers in high-traffic locations such as shopping centers and other attractions.”

Each elevate DIGITAL display location generates an average of nearly a half million impressions per month and sees consumers interacting with its content for more than four hours a day. The screens help tourists and locals navigate the city, providing connective advertising, interactive content and more.

“Partnering with elevate DIGITAL will help us spread awareness about the Red Cross and information about our initiatives, our mission and our programs,” said Fran Edwardson, CEO of the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago. “We’re excited to test out this new channel and gain exposure to the Chicago audience during this time of giving.”

Since its founding in 2011, elevate DIGITAL has deployed more than 70 screens across the city of Chicago. The company has also established partnerships with organizations such as Groupon, The Tribune Company and World Business Chicago, among others. elevate recently announced $4.2 million in Series A funding and plans to continue its expansion across the country with deployments in the top 30 markets by the end of 2014.
