Chiropractor, Physical Therapy, Back Pain, Giving?
Fort Washington, MD (PRWEB) December 20, 2013 -- When considering key words for a company that provides chiropractic, physical therapy, and rehab, giving may not be one that comes to mind. But at Sport and Spine Rehab it most certainly is. This week Sport and Spine Rehab is wrapping up one of its final charitable efforts for the year, the Toys for Tots campaign. Sport and Spine Rehab is a chiropractic, physical therapy, and rehab provider in the Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD metro area and served as donation sites at eight locations within its seven clinics and business office. This is the second year Sport and Spine Rehab has supported the Toys for Tots efforts and this year was very successful.
"Compassion and giving back to the community is part of our culture at SSR," commented Dr. Jay Greenstein CEO. "Our mission to enrich the health and well-being of the public, one life at a time does not end on the rehab floor," said Greenstein. "We want to touch as many lives as we can in as many ways as we can."
Sport and Spine Rehab regularly supports many organizations through out the year or as the need presents itself. Organizations like Back on My Feet, that uses running to help the homeless change the way they see themselves so they can make real change in their lives resulting in employment and independent living; Move For Hunger, who with the assistance of moving companies, provide food to food banks all across the country; DC Scores, an organization that builds teams through after school programs for over 1,450 low income DC youth at 42 schools by instilling self-expression, physical fitness, and a sense of community; Jeans Day to help prevent homelessness in Fairfax County, to name a few.
In addition, SSR has responded as the need required by delivering bottled water to Hurricane Sandy damaged areas in New Jersey, raising donations to help Haitian earthquake victims, and donations for the recent typhoon victims in the Philippines; the list goes on and on.
Sport and Spine Rehab's final effort for 2013 will be hosting a blood drive for the American Red Cross on Saturday, December 21st at the Rockville location. At last count there were 28 people signed up to donate blood.
As for the 2013 Toys for Tots campaign, over 200 toys were collected at Sport and Spine Rehab's eight drop locations. Those donations were collected and transported to Thermopylae Sciences and Technology in Arlington who acted as the regional drop site and transporter to Toys for Tots headquarters in Fredricksburg under the supervision of Mike Cachine, Senior Vice President and CIO.
So yes, you may not always associate chiropractor, physical therapy, back pain, and giving as key words for a chiropractic and physical therapy company, but the folks at Sport and Spine Rehab do.
