It has been reported in The Edinburgh Reporter in the article ‘NUS Scotland Launches New Study Abroad Project’ that NUS Scotland has been offered funding from the Scottish government in a bid to encourage students to study abroad as part of their course. The project, named Investing in Scotland’s Global Future, will launch a mentoring scheme connecting Scottish employers to students who have studied abroad to ensure that employers can benefit from the skills students acquire whilst studying abroad. Furthermore, the initiative will encourage universities, colleges, and schools to educate pupils on the advantages of studying abroad. The scheme will also see students who have studied abroad as part of their course visit a variety of education establishments to advocate the cultural, economic, and social benefits of studying overseas.

As experts in moving overseas, the specialists at Interdean offer an extensive range of services suited to students who are moving overseas from efficient student shipping services to offering secure storage. With one of their many offices located in Scotland, the team at Interdean were naturally interested in the introduction of a scheme to encourage Scottish students to study abroad and a representative for the company offered their comments:

“It is welcome news that a scheme is being put in place which encourages students to study abroad as part of their course. Moving abroad for studying can be an exciting and enriching experience for any student and can have multiple benefits for future employment prospects. There is a high number of students in Scotland who study abroad but it is encouraging that an initiative has been put in place to further increase this number and promote the multiple benefits of moving overseas for students.”

As a removal company with a wealth of experience, Interdean offers a comprehensive range of services which are tailored to a student’s needs.
