ILX React to Search for Employees with Project Management Skills
(PRWEB UK) 19 December 2013 -- The IT industry works heavily with matters of cyber security, and recent research has pointed to two-thirds of IT professionals believing that the skills learnt by ex-hackers are ideally placed to help them tackle this part of their work. This includes coding and project management – a key skill in the IT industry and something sought after for jobs in almost every area of business. These results come from a survey conducted by IT recruitment specialists for project management jobs, CWJobs.co.uk.
The survey also revealed that 4 in 10 IT professionals in the UK believe that there’s a current shortage of skilled security professionals capable of managing projects in a world of constantly evolving threats, and it is a gap in the market that desperately needs filling. Richard Nott, website director of CWJobs.co.uk, said:
“Cyber threats are growing and evolving on an almost daily basis, so having skilled candidates who understand and can navigate this environment to protect the business is now crucial.”
ILX is a leading provider of project management training courses including PRINCE2. All courses are suitable for professionals entering a range of different industries. A spokesperson for the company said:
“Research into the importance of project management skills in any industry is very welcome. The news that many IT professionals believe there aren’t enough new recruits skilled in project management points to a significant hole in the market. ILX project management training, including PRINCE2 equips people with these skills and knowledge, and readies them to enter their chosen industry with a distinct advantage.
“This research demonstrates that project management skills are highly sought after and in short supply, making courses like ours even more valuable. A PM qualification from ILX such as PRINCE2 can improve employability and offer industries better trained and more capable individuals.”
