Hosted by Jimmy Johnson, "Leading Edge" Will Highlight the Dangers Our Waters Face Today
(PRWEB) January 02, 2014 -- Water contamination is becoming more and more of a concern these days. People have many questions about which areas are more contaminated than others and what health risks this poses. Even though water supplies are safer than they were in years past, there are still dangerous substances hidden in the depths.
Prior to the 1970's, there was very little oversight on water quality in the United States. The Safe Drinking Water Act of 1974 and the newly formed EPA changed all of that. But how much has changed? Even though drinking water in the United States is considered to be the world's cleanest, according to a 2009 EPA report, threats to drinking water are on the rise once more.
Watch "Leading Edge" as host Jimmy Johnson tackles the issues affecting our drinking water today. "Leading Edge" will explore the greatest dangers our waters face, and what is being done to fix the problem. Learn what precautions you can take to avoid potential health concerns caused by drinking contaminated water.
