the dedicated implant system for treating proximal fractures of the fifth metatarsal
Houston, TX (PRWEB) December 21, 2013
Instratek, Inc.™ has been synonymous with minimally invasive surgical technologies for over 20 years and today announces domestic launch of the Jones-FX Titanium Screw System.
The Jones-FX titanium screw system is a dedicated implant system for treating proximal fractures of the fifth metatarsal, commonly referred to as Jones fractures. The system is comprised of solid and cannulated screws that are available in 4.5mm, 5.5mm, and 6.5mm diameters. Lengths of the screws range from 35mm to 70mm. The Jones-FX system consists of instrumentation that was developed specifically for treating Jones fractures. This instrumentation includes, but is not limited to, a modular tissue protector with independent guides, cannulated bone taps and drill bits, and countersink. All Jones-FX screws have the same thread pitch giving the surgeon more intraoperative flexibility. By offering both a solid and cannulated screw option in one set, Instratek is providing the most comprehensive system in the marketplace for surgically treating Jones fractures. This device is intended for orthopaedic and podiatric surgery. The Jones-FX Titanium Screw System is available in the U.S. through Instratek’s distributor-based sales force and by contacting Instratek directly. Visit http://www.instratek.com/products/jones-fx
